Walk In Africa has designed a new eight-day tour especially for visitors who appreciate fine-dining, excellent wine and beautiful easy walks. All of our restaurant choices are excellent but the highlights are: the incomparable “Food Barn”, La Colombe, La Petit Ferme, The Marine, Harbour Rock and Oppie Dorp.
For the wine tasting we have carefully selected beautiful wineries in spectacular surroundings with a variety of delicious wines. Wherever possible we will meet the charismatic winemakers. Groot Constantia is the oldest winery in the southern hemisphere and has been winning awards in Europe since 1788. The current winemaker is Boela Gerber. Cape Point Vineyards is the furthest south vineyard on the Cape Peninsula and famous for its white wines resulting from brisk cool Atlantic breezes. Peter Finlayson is a legendary South African winemaker and no visit would be complete without tasting his delicious wines. Stark-Conde wine farm is situated in the most beautiful location in the Cape winelands AND produces award-wining wines. We will visit these but we will also seize the opportunity to visit other special wineries.
We have selected the best easy walks in the most scenic and popular areas around Cape Town and The Winelands. Of course we visit Table Mountain, which is probably the most recognizable Mountain in the world. We include a beautiful long beach walk on white sand and we walk in The National Park at the historical Cape of Good Hope, where we may see wildlife. We have included whale watching and mountain walks in Hermanus and we also walk in the winelands mountains as well as amongst the vineyards.
